Anti-Racism
The Government of British Columbia has developed a series of Anti-racism Reminders to help everyone see things in a different light and spur conversations at home, at work and all the places needed to create a better and safer B.C.
We all can help prevent racism and create positive change in our communities. It is not enough to be “not racist”. To be anti-racist, we must work to speak up and dismantle racism in all its forms.
Racial Equity Tools is designed to support individuals and groups working to achieve racial equity. It offers tools, research, tips, curricula, and ideas for people who want to increase their understanding and to help those working for racial justice at every level.
Started in 2021 with funding from the Ministry of Education, the goal of the project is to identify and/or develop BC-specific resources aligned with BC’s K-12 curriculum that improve the representation of racialized communities and promote a more comprehensive understanding of anti-racism, human rights, and diverse cultural experiences, histories, and contributions.
