Anti-Racism
The Government of British Columbia has developed a series of Anti-racism Reminders to help everyone see things in a different light and spur conversations at home, at work and all the places needed to create a better and safer B.C.
We all can help prevent racism and create positive change in our communities. It is not enough to be “not racist”. To be anti-racist, we must work to speak up and dismantle racism in all its forms.
The Resilience BC Anti-Racism Network offers a multi-faceted, province wide approach with greater focus and leadership in identifying and challenging racism.

For more than 25 years BC Black History Awareness Society has hosted a Black History Month program. We are excited to host another great month offering a combination of online and in-person events to recognize and celebrate the achievements and contributions of historical and contemporary people of African descent.

The Kelowna Pride Society is a wonderful, supportive, local resource for our 2SLGBTQIA+ community. The site includes info about Etcetera - support groups for youth.
QMUNITY is a non-profit organization based in Vancouver, BC that works to improve queer, trans, and Two-Spirit lives. We provide a safer space for LGBTQ2SAI+ people and their allies to fully self-express while feeling welcome and included. Our building serves as a catalyst for community initiatives and collective strength.
