Anti-Racism
We all can help prevent racism and create positive change in our communities. It is not enough to be “not racist”. To be anti-racist, we must work to speak up and dismantle racism in all its forms.
The Resilience BC Anti-Racism Network offers a multi-faceted, province wide approach with greater focus and leadership in identifying and challenging racism.

BCBHAS celebrates the achievements of Black people in British Columbia by creating an awareness of the history of Blacks in B.C., stimulating interest in the contributions of persons of African ancestry to B.C. and Canada today, and celebrating historical and contemporary achievements in the arts, education, government, sports, science etc.
Black History Month program offering a combination of online and in-person events to recognize and celebrate the achievements and contributions of historical and contemporary people of African descent.
Black Youth Helpline serves all youth and specifically responds to the need for a Black youth. The primary mission of BYH is the prevention of social, psychological breakdown in communities through a focus on education, health and community development.
Sexual Orientation & Gender Identity (SOGI)
QMUNITY is a non-profit organization based in Vancouver, BC that works to improve queer, trans, and Two-Spirit lives. We provide a safer space for LGBTQ2SAI+ people and their allies to fully self-express while feeling welcome and included. Our building serves as a catalyst for community initiatives and collective strength.
Etcetera brings 2SLGBTQIA+ youth together in an intersectional, dynamic, and supportive space where you can: explore identity, forge friendships, build your sense of self-worth, find resources for mental and physical health, and gain empowerment for yourself and others.
The Kelowna Pride Society is a wonderful, supportive, local resource for our 2SLGBTQIA+ community.
